One of those days

Do you ever have one of "those" days, the ones that make you feel like if you have to fold one more shirt, it will send you over the edge into the laundry pit of despair? Or the thought of having to make on more meal makes you want to buy your own McDonald's, so your kids can eat for free everyday?

Yeah, I just had one of those weeks.

I let the kids run a muck, dishes stack up, clothes explode from the laundry room closet, and my grocery's run out. Now I have a disaster the size of Texas my house to clean up.

When you run out of "normal" food, every day makes you use you imagination to make meals, because going to the grocery store seems worse than eating a tuna and cheese wrap. After running out of tuna we did the unthinkable...

We had not eaten out for three weeks and finally hit our money goal (of being in the black), and than we threw it all to the wind and ate out three times this past week...

Did I mention it wasn't a great week?

As much as I enjoyed all those meals, (I am a fast food junky, and not really because I like the food but because I hate cooking!) my budget has been smashed into tiny little red pieces. UGHhhhh.... I hate when I do this!

Unless you are (insert verb) Mom, you know exactly what I am talking about. You work so hard to get everything just so and than you lose motivation and everything goes insane! I am pretty sure when my kids grow up and I become fabulously wealthy from couponing that my house will be perfect everyday of the week and everything will be made from scratch by my maids me!

I am feeling this week may not be much better, but at least I made it to the grocery store!

True life story: The picture is actually what my house looks like right now, I was googling a picture of a messy house when I looked up and noticed how bad mine was, so I just used my own picture...

  2. Love it! That is what my house looks like the end of each day. I do the same and let us eat out when I don't want to go shopping. Bad, bad. This week and last week I have been determined not to do this. I'm worse about it during lunch, because I don't have a lot of time to cook from scratch. We are having Chicken Noodle soup today for lunch and the kids are not going to be happy about that.

  3. I totally feel you!! I have those weeks. And it is not until you sit back and look of the mess that has occured that you think " that wasn't the best idea!" to bad that thought does occur sooner.
Grocery shopping I don't mind, but here the commissary is always packed unless you get there when it opens. So if it is a rough morning and I don't get there in time I give in to the eating out trap too!
