And the Beat Goes On

*Sigh* Do you ever feel like you are never going to get caught up on life? It seems like that pile of dishes is never going to end and the laundry pile just grew while you were making dinner. I swear the weeds and knew high grass weren't there yesterday!

I know I feel this way all time, life seems to be moving so much faster than ME! There are a thousand things to do and not enough hours in the day!

This for me leads to sheer panic, and eventually an emotional crash that ends with me in a vegetative state on the couch. I am pretty sure this is not the best way to deal with the stress, but that's how I deal! I am pretty sure I could avoid the panic if I would just make a list and stick to it.... Thankfully I have some hope!

Someday the children will grow up we won't have kid tornado's or have to make dinner with a baby hanging on our leg. And all those chores we tirelessly do by ourselves will be delegated to our minions.... Oh, yes the minions...I am very excited for those days...

So for now I am going to ignore the mess and just appreciate the time I have with my sweet little baby's. Appreciate their baby genius and relish the hugs and kisses they are still willing to give in public!  That being said, beware if you come over you may find my house less than perfect! And I am going to learn to be okay with that!

  1. Hi, Annaruth! I am Lindsay Heller's cousin, and have known your mother in law for a long time (but then again, who doesn't? that's why I included the Lindsay bit).

She just sent me the link to your blog and I certainly find several similarities in our 'season of life' right now!!! My twins are the last of our brood, and they will be two on 10/20 and 10/21 (born over midnight). They are identical boys. Then there is our little spitfire (that third child!!) who will be 3 next month, and then another daughter who just turned 4 and a son, who turned 5 in July. I also have a wonderful stepson who is 17.

I have loved every post I've read so far...and can relate to much of it! Keep on writing. If nothing else, it provides good therapy for me. ;)
